How should Steriking® peel packaging be treated after use? Can those be recycled?
If the pack is clean after use, the packaging can be recycled. For recyling, paper and laminate should be separated from each others.
Paper of See-Through packaging is made of bleached virgin wood fibers and it can be recycled if collection of paper waste is arranged.
Tyvek® is made of high-density polyethylene nonwoven and it can be recycled if local possibilities for recycling HDPE plastics exist.
Laminate of See-Through packaging is made of two different plastics BOPET/PP and laminate of Steriking® packaging made of Tyvek® is made of two different plastics BOPET/PE, and both of these laminates can be recycled if local possibilities for recycling mixed plastics exist.
When mechanical recycling is not practical or possible, laminate should be sent to chemical transformation or the whole pack to energy recovery. Last option is to dispose the packs to landfill site.
